When the body whispers: pause
When the body starts whispering “pause” but the mind keeps rushing—too often, we realize too late that we’ve burned out. In this post, I share a personal experience of exhaustion, the courage it takes to stop, and how rest is not a sign of weakness but a true source of creativity and strength.

I'm tired.
That was the first thought that came to me while driving home after two intense weeks at work.
At our company, we often joke that taking a vacation and returning from it feels like jumping off a moving train… and then trying to jump back on it later. Of course, the train never stops.
That’s exactly what happened to me. Again.
These past two weeks were like a wild dance:
Three times I had to stand in front of an audience and talk about topics that are deeply important to me.
Presenting to people who observe me under a magnifying glass—because being a leader means being visible, evaluated, and closely watched.
A new team joined, and I welcomed them with curiosity and excitement. I believe we can achieve a lot together, and I want to help them break free from their blind spots.
It was intense. It took a lot of energy. But it was worth it.
Still, every experience, every step we take, draws resources from within. And if we don’t restore them—soon it’s not just your energy that runs on debt, but your mood, your creativity, even your relationships.
The energy battery isn’t infinite
Sometimes we’re like a smartphone blinking red, still hoping to make it to the charger.
But we don’t. We shut down—right when it matters most.
In one of my talks, I shared my failures. As a leader, they hit harder—they affect many people and involve many factors.
But I never give up when I believe the goal I’m pursuing will become a success story for someone else—and for me too.
There are a thousand ways to reach a goal. So why do we stop after trying just one?
Maybe stopping is exactly what’s needed.
Not giving up. Just pressing pause.
When the body is already screaming in red—I know I’m late. I’ve already pushed the gas pedal too hard. I’ve been too harsh on myself.
I should’ve listened sooner.
But awareness is a journey.
Life balance is a journey too.
With peaks and dips. With naive hope that “just a bit more” and I’ll make it. Until I realize—I missed the last gas station.
My first real stop in a long time
On Friday, I finally heard myself.
Instead of rushing to the gym, posting on Instagram, planning my week, knitting or doing anything productive—I simply… went to bed. Straight to sleep.
And it was one of the most liberating things I’ve done in a while.
Even though my “me-time” plans were well thought out—I realized that sometimes the only real way back to yourself is… sleep. Pure, deep, healing sleep.
Visiting my father – returning to myself
This Sunday, for Father’s Day, I visited my parents. That time together became another moment of restoration.
For them—it was busy, chaotic, joyful. For me—it was grounding. Calming. And then—suddenly—energy returned. The words returned. The urge to share and create returned.
Rest is creative fuel
Rest is not the opposite of productivity.
Rest is the source of it.
It fuels your mood, your breath, your peace—and most importantly, your creativity.
So if your body is asking for a break—give it one.
Even if that day brings no results, no progress, no plan.
Just be.
Let yourself feel weak.
Let yourself rest—so you can come back stronger. And amaze yourself again.
Think about what you want—not what you fear
When you focus your thoughts on what you need—not on what you lack—they begin to heal.
So don’t punish yourself.
Embrace yourself.
Rest.
You’ll come back—with new strength.
